Two Orphans Form an Unlikely Friendship

Celebrating Black Rhino Recovery on World Rhino Day

This World Rhino Day, we want to share the inspiring story of how African Parks, a private NGO and RRF grantee, helped completely transform Malawi’s Majete Wildlife Reserve. Majete was once a place where poaching and unsustainable land management caused virtually all wildlife to vanish, but through 20 years of wildlife reintroductions—including black rhinos—and community engagement, African Parks has helped turn Majete into the flagship reserve of Malawi.
