IRF’s Reserve Relief Fund

Grantee International Rhino Foundation (IRF)
Type Protected Area Management
Grant Amount $50,000
Duration 1 year

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Rhino Foundation (IRF) created a Reserve Relief Fund to support rhino conservation initiatives for protected areas. The RRF provided funding to increase the size of the fund. IRF will disburse small grants to protected areas and non-profit organizations in developing countries that need funds to fill funding gaps left by the absence of tourism and other wildlife-based business. Supported activities will include: keeping conservation staff employed and fully paid, supporting existing security operations, and paying for emergency health and safety needs.
