Captive Breeding for Sumatran Rhinos Set to Increase

Mongabay has gathered new information from conservationists working to prevent the Critically Endangered Sumatran rhino from going extinct. There are less than 100 individuals left, with the vast majority of them concentrated in key protected areas such as the Leuser Ecosystem and Way Kambas National Park.
Threatened primarily by habitat loss and fragmentation, the small population of remaining Sumatran rhinos need constant supervision to prevent them from disappearing.
